Bitters & Love

Bitters - that was the initial name for our bar. We started this bar with two guiding principles. Firstly, to pay homage to Bitters - a key ingredient in some of our favourite cocktails. second and the most important principle - to provide a cost safe space, your friend's living room, your escape from the needs of your daily grind - a place where you walk in through the door and forget what you leave behind.

WHAT IS COCKTAIL?

One of the earliest descriptions of a cocktail dates all the way back to 1806. It calls for four ingredients - a stimulating liquor, composed of spirits of any kind, sugar, water and bitters.

WHAT IS BITTERS?

The most basic definition of bitters is a strongly concentrated infusion of plant material: bark, flowers, fruit and other accentuating flavours.

They're used in small amounts, drops and dashes to add secondary flavours to cocktails and tie all your other flavours together.
